When I moved out of Cleveland, I did a post called Cleveland Unfiltered or something like that. I basically just shared a bunch of pretty much unedited pictures that I had never shared on social media or anything and threw them into a blog post. In truth, I spent the past four days trying to find photos that I haven't posted somewhere that were worth sharing. This isn't really one of those 2018 in review photo things. I shared that one already on my Instagram Stories, I'm sure much to the disappointment of people from high school who still follow me and don't care about my life and for the 50% of bloggers who were also annoyed with those. It's all innocent fun, y'all. It ain't that deep.
Anyways, here are some photos from 2018 that tell no story. I liked them for one reason or another. I'm just happy to be here!
These were the last couple of photos that I took in and of Niagara Falls! Not the best place to grow up, but not the worst. Definitely very pretty, so I can't complain.
I took these the first weekend that I was in the city. I was meeting up with my mom, aunt, and uncle in Chelsea and had to leave the station to transfer and caught a glimpse of the World Trade Center up close for the first time. The picture of SoHo I took on Easter morning, my first day alone in the city. I had cried a lot the day before and most likely that morning until the girl who shared the apartment with the girl I was "subletting" from came home.
My second or third week of work, I went to this Elle event at the Marni store in SoHo with Planned Parenthood. I was standing approximately ten feet from Nina Garcia and almost shit my pants. So glamorous. It really sums up my life when I say that this is the coolest thing I've ever been part of and I felt like such an imposter. The cocktails were really nice though!
We went to LA for work, my second time on the west coast and one of the loveliest trips I've ever taken. Going places for work can always be stressful, but this felt like less of a work trip and more of a vacation with work sprinkled in between. I could never live in California or visit for longer than a week, but it is damn gorgeous, I'll give it that!
I saw three of my favorite men this year except I apparently have no photos of Liam Payne, so here are some shitty concert shots from Niall Horan and Harry Styles' shows that I saw over the summer.
Chicago was another work trip that felt a bit more like work this time, but it's always nice to be back in a city you have fond memories of from past family vacations. I got to see my mom's best friend from high school and her family which is a weird and cool and special thing that I'm mega grateful for.
HOW COULD I NOT FUCKING MENTION THE GOAT?! Tommy has been to more family holidays than some of my cousins' significant others and she's killing the game.
(If you're curious as to why there is a goat at my house for Thanksgiving, you can read this article here about my cousin and her goats from The Guardian and look at her Instagram here)
That's all she wrote, folks! We're almost done with the 2018 content. I'm just really enjoyed the end of the year round-ups, that's all! It was a crazy year and I just want to reflect on it, not just leave it in the dust!
O. M. G. ! - your photographs are AMAZING! I LOVE all of the outfits you took selfies in (you have fabulous fashion taste), the photos of you with your friends, the photos from Niagara Falls and from Manhattan, posing with the grapes and the baby goat (!?!?!), and at the events you attended... what a gorgeous photo-album from an amazing year... beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for another healthy, successful and fashiontastically happy year 2019!
