Favorite Six Face Masks

After years of avoiding it, I think 2016 turned into my year of skincare. Or at least, the last few months I've tried to focus on skincare deeper than just me washing my face twice a day and using spot treatments to try to zap away the acne that seems to chronically plague me. One of my favorite forms of skincare has quickly become face masks. It's like I'm trying to play Pokemon and catch all of the masks until I have them all.

I like to do a mask a few times a week, all for different reasons. Sometimes my skin is so dry and patchy than it just needs some exfoliating. Sometimes I just want to treat my oily skin (usually more in the spring and summer months rather than the winter). I like to keep a few on hand at all times just so I'm never without one. Out of all of the masks I've tried and sampled, these are the six that I've loved the most.

1. Lush Cupcake | Good for oily and acne prone skin to mattify, cleanse, and calm redness.

2. Lush Magnaminty |  Good for deep-cleansing to exfoliate, soothe, and clean out your pores.

3. Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask | Good for radiant and revitalized skin with exfoliation, peeling and polishing.

4. Fresh Rose | Good for all skin types to combat dryness, redness, and pores.

5. Lush Cup O' Coffee | Good for exfoliating and brightening your skin.

6. Origins Drink Up Intensive | Good for dry skin to moisturize your skin and prevent skin dehydration.

Masks I want to try:

Dr. Jart Magnetight Age-Defier
Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment
Fresh Black Tea
Lush Green Goddess
Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

  1. I loved this post! I'm always looking for new skincare products! I love Lush, and I can't believe I've never tried the Cup O'Coffee face mask! Definitely on my radar for the next time I stop in Lush! :)

    1. The Cup O'Coffee can be a bit gritty and harsh on normal skin, but it's really great for that time of the week when your skin just seems to be the driest its ever been in your entire life and you just want to start fresh. The smell is a bit strong but, hey, a small price to pay for softer and brighter skin afterwards!

    1. Trust me, if it was a year ago today I would've raised a brow to all of these. What masks do you like to use? I'm clearly always on the hunt for new ones to try!

    1. Hi Regan! You can get Fresh products from Sephora, Nordstrom, Neimans, Amazon, their website, and probably more places! I personally got mine at Sephora, though. :)
