1. H&M v-neck knit sweater
I saw this sweater on a mannequin at H&M when I went home during the Christmastime. It was originally pretty expensive at around $50 and I wasn't really in the mood to spend that much money on a sweater from H&M. Flashforward to a week or so later and I was in a different H&M with my cousin. And what sweater do I come across but this one marked down to $10 for that weekend only. I snatched that sweater off the rack so fast I didn't even know what to do with myself.
Normally, I avoid v-necks like the plague, especially deep plunging v-necks. I don't think they suit me very well and are usually really unflattering. Still, I figured for $10 I'd figure out how to wear it. And I'll be damned if it's not one of my favorite sweaters in my closet at the moment. It's so versatile! I can wear it on it's own with a simple pair of black or darkwash denim. I even lounge around in it on my lazy days because it's so thick and cozy. Another one of my favorite ways to wear it? I style a turtleneck underneath to add an extra layer of warmth and comfort. I wore it like that last Saturday and I have never felt more comfortable in my whole life.
2. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
I did a whole book review on this Monday, but I wanted to mention it once more just incase you missed that post and weren't aware of the glorious existence of this book. It's short, is full of suspense, and the ending will make you want to chuck the book across the room. What more could you want?
Is it 1997 again? No? 2017? This song is 20 years old and I've somehow just discovered its existence through Megan Ellaby's Miami style video where a remix of this song plays. Needless to say, I'm obsessed and my roommates might want to fight me because I've been listening to too much Will Smith for 2017. Did I also rediscover my love for his 2005 hit "Switch?" You bet.
4. Megan Ellaby
I mean, her personality is adorable, but I'm more referring to her Youtube channel and Instagram feed at the moment. I cannot wait until I have a spare second to check out her blog more because I think her style is just so cool. She's a Manchester based blogger/Youtuber who just has such amazing outfit posts and hauls. And she just seems like such a fun person! I've been struggling to find Youtubers to watch who don't–and I don't meant to sound rude at all, I'm sure they're lovely people–bore me. Do you know what I mean? I'm getting pickier with the content that I watch on Youtube and I like to find the channels that stand out to me, both visually and based on the personalities of the content creators. If you're looking for a new channel to watch, I highly recommend checking out her videos!
