We're getting to that point of the semester where midterms are rapidly approaching. I cannot believe it's almost week eight! As ready as I am for this semester to be over (#Graduation), it's strange how fast time has flown by. I'm currently tweaking a study guide for my midterm next week (well, I guess I'm currently currently writing this blog post, but that other word document is minimized for the time being just begging to be completed) and trying very hard not to stress out. Really, there's nothing to stress about. I have a clear study guide. I have the answers, essentially, right in front of me. I've taken notes, I've gone to every class...I'm more than capable of surviving this exam.
The midpoint of the semester can be stressful times, especially post-exam grades. It's that point in the semester where you either pat yourself on the back for all of your hard work (though, you should do this anyways...everyone works at their own pace) or decide that it's time to kick it into gear. It's a good place to start making changes, even if you think you're doing everything right. It might be the relief that you need if you find out you're on track for your goal. It also might be a jolt to wake you up and get you motivated for the remaining eight weeks or so of the semester.
Where you are at the midpoint of the semester is not where you have to end up come finals. There are plenty of opportunities to fix and repair any damage you've done to your grades or motivation during the beginning of the semester. There's always help to find, extra work to do. It might require more time, but if you want to be in a bigger and better place at the end of the semester, it'll be worth it. Where there's a will, there's a way.
