Want to know who needs to start cooking and baking again? I'll give you a hint. It starts with Fran and ends with Cesca. I've been absolutely horrible when it comes to doing things for myself, mostly involving cooking. I tend to take the easy road, which is also a really, really frozen road. Also, boxes. Lots of boxed mixes. It's truly sad. If my life was a reality TV show, the cameramen would feel so bad during feeding time that they would immediately put the cameras away.
I used to be a baker. That is not only a great quote from Harry Styles used repeatedly over the course of the past few years, it is also very true and relevant to my life. When I was living at home and had free time, baking became a sort of hobby. Okay, mostly it was to satisfy my sweet tooth without leaving the house. Baking does bite up more time than, you know, driving to the store, but I'll do anything to get out of leaving the house.
Alas, my third year of college has stolen so much of my time that baking has become a thing of the past. But never fear, Franchefsca is here! Or she will be! Hopefully! I'm optimistic about making at least one of the things on this new list of recipes to try out. Between baking and cooking, there are a few things I'd like to try out over the summer when I at least have a tiny bit more free time with school being done.
1. Roasted Garlic, Chicken & Herb White Pizza
2. Chicken and Asparagus Lemon Stir Fry
3. Baked Garlic Parmesan Potato Wedges
4. One Skillet Chicken with Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce
5. Better Than Starbucks Lemon Loaf
6. Homemade Best-Ever Blueberry Streusel Muffins
7. Lemon Crumb Muffins with Lemon Glaze
What are the chances of me actually making something listed above? The world may never know...
