Friday was day two of NYFW and there were a lot of exciting presentations and shows to catch. I mean, every day of NYFW is just as thrilling, but Givenchy's first New York show was definitely something special.
This collection was prim with tailored trousers and enough neckscarves and collars to make me a happy girl. Plus, that pop of blood orange (
"It's f**king red") was incredible.
Zimmermann had a lot of frills, a lot of bibs, and a lot of love from me. I loved the cheeky lengths, the high necklines, the cropped belle sleeves, and the demure and muted color scheme (especially that fantastic pink and floral print towards the end).
Give me all the Kate Spade all the time. I am a KSNY lover through and through, so I was not disappointed by this collection of fun colors, prints, and quirky handbags and clutches. Did anyone else notice the colorful Rockstud inspired shoes?
I enjoyed the overall simplicity of Gordon's collection this season, especially the monochromatic ensemble in look five.
The frayed edges and choppy tulle gave edge to otherwise tailored looks. I loved the mixture of straight, sleek silhouettes with the voluminous ruffles and boxy tops.
With a collection of neutral colors, Givenchy stood out with it's intricate lace details, satin fabrics, ruching, sheer inserts and general presentation. I love when shows include menswear as well, it's a nice touch to split up womenswear in a show with over seventy looks.
What did you love from day two of NYFW?
