There's a very small window of time during the end of spring and early summer months where I want to inject as much color into my life because I fall back into the habit of all black everything or neutrals for about nine months out of the year. I go all out with lightening my hair, wearing whites and neons and all of the vivid floral prints I own, and all of the crazy bright lipsticks that I can. But, there are definitely some beauty options other than the obvious choice—lipstick, my one true love—that can help you inject some color into your look!
The first option is eyeliner and eyeshadows. No matter what time of year, I still stick to my neutral eyeshadow looks, but I'll definitely utilize eyeliner or a color on the bottom lash line. My cousin recently gave me this teal shimmer eyeliner from her Ipsy bag and not only do I love it as an eyeliner on its own, but it also works great for the double eyeliner look. I'll just apply a thin line of this over the wing of my normal eyeliner to give it a little more flare.
Before lipstick became my main focus, I was OBSESSED with blush. I couldn't get enough of it, which is why I have quite the array of different colors. Yes, this does include an orange cream blush that I absolutely LOVE. NYX has some great cream blush colors and in the realm of drugstore blushes, Elf has a lot of colors (like the neon pink one above!) and they're only three dollars. However, some of my favorite colorful blushes are in Tarte's Amazonian Clay line (like Dollface) and Benefit has their fair share as well, though Coralista is one of my all time favorite blush colors for the summer.

And now we're onto the main event: lipsticks. I could go on and on about my favorite lipstick colors for the summer, but that would be well over twenty so I'm going to try to narrow it down.
I wear lipstick every day. If I'm not going anywhere, I still might put some on just because I'm a weirdo like that and like to play with makeup. However, chances are if I'm going out in public, there is a color on my lips and it's not going to be a neutral. Too Faced has so many great colors in their Melted Lipstick line (like the violet and magenta colors above). In the same realm of liquid lipsticks, NYX's Soft Matte Lip Creams come in a wide arrange of colors for much, much cheaper than the Too Faced versions and other high end liquid lipsticks. NYX lipsticks in general come in a massive array of colors, as well as Revlon. If you're looking for a drugstore lipstick in a unique color, definitely check out those two brands!
What's your favorite way to add some color into your life?
I'd love to see how the teal eye liner looks like on you. I always stick to brown and black liners. Sometimes when I'm feeling adventurous, I'll wear a gold liner. But I've never been bold enough to do something as bright as teal!
