Both in my bedroom at home and in my dorm at school, I keep a massive corkboard hung above my desk. I don't use it to tack reminders to (that's what my Lilly Pulitzer agenda and Kate Spade sticky notes are for!), but rather as a mood board of sorts. I used to re-do mine at home bi-annually as my mood changed with the seasons and I matured throughout high school. I haven't touched it since, though, because I want to preserve who I was when I made it.
Last year, in an effort to make my dorm feel more at home, I also added a cork board above my desk area to mimic my bedroom at home. I ended up keeping the same pictures from my freshmen year on through the summer and leading into this year. But as I looked at the fading and crooked pictures, I realized that it was in for a makeover. There are only three weeks left in the semester, but I figured now is as good a time as ever to give it a facelift.
Here's its transformation!
