On the real, saying something is my motto is quite possible my favorite thing to say other than saying that any song I have ever listened to more than once is my jam. If I hear a quote I particularly like, I'll automatically deem it motto material...and then promptly forget about it. Despite my inability to really sort out the true "jams" and "mottos" in my life, there are definitely a select few sayings that I either recite repeatedly until I remember them or just keep in the back of my mind as life references, just not necessarily verbatim.
Anyone who knows me in real life (or follows me on enough social media platforms) knows that my favorite motto, the one I truly live by and will recite repeatedly until I'm blue in the face, is the following:
Honest to god, any advice I ever give will, nine out of ten, end with me saying this. Want to wear bold lipstick? Fake it 'til you make it. Want to wear culottes or palazzo pants? Fake it 'til you make it. Want to be more confident? FAKE 👏 IT 👏 'TIL 👏 YOU 👏 MAKE 👏 IT.
However, faking it until you make it isn't the only piece of advice that I have to give, nor is it the only motto I try to live by (it's just the main one that gets me through). Here are some other mottos or little life tips that I think are quite cute and helpful.
