1. Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas
Expect to see this ridiculously simple "recipe" in a Clueless Cook post coming soon. I made this for the first time with some leftovers from a chicken salad from my favorite restaurant. Remember, if I can make it and have it taste good, literally anybody can.
2. Coconut Water Lemonade
I hate coconut flavored everything after a terrible experience with legitimate coconut milk straight out of a coconut that my dad cut open and tried to share with me when I was younger. Since that day, I've sworn off all things coconut flavored. That is, until I saw that there was coconut water lemonade that I needed to try. Sweet baby jesus, this stuff is the real deal. It's the perfect amount of sour, but the faintest hint of coconut gives it the sweetness that sugar would. I also picked up a regular coconut water as well as a coconut water with pineapple, so I guess I'll see how I end up liking those. Have I found my new "thing?"
3. Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl
I used to be a religious user of liquid highlighter, normally Benefit's High Beam. Then I got lazy and didn't feel like blending it out, so I transitioned into powder highlighter. On a whim, I dug out my Girl Meets Pearl highlighter from Benefit that I got in a 500-point perk box from Sephora a year or so ago. The name of the product really describes the finish it gives to your skin. It's a pale pink that transforms your cheekbones into a pearlescent finish. In comparison to High Beam, it's a lot more subtle of a highlight, but definitely gives your face a lifted appearance.
4. NYFW
Sadly, today is the last day of NYFW, but to catch up on all of my favorite looks from the past week, check out my NYFW tag. Come back tomorrow to see my final favorite looks from today's shows and some comments about the entire week!
5. Apartment "Pinspiration"
My friend/future roommate Abby and I spent a solid four hours on Pinterest yesterday for apartment ideas. The Cleveland State Marketplace hasn't seen two girls so excited about pins of gallery walls and throw pillows in all of its years of existence. I have a few boards for apartment inspiration, but to see all of the work we did yesterday, check out my board 2320.
6. "Work It" by Missy Elliot
There was a video of Alyson Stoner circulating around the internet last week as a tribute to Missy Elliot (side-note: in every post people talked about her being the voice of Isabella in Phineas & Ferb, but not one mentioned her role in the Disney classics Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. How rude!). In the midst of all of the incredible dancing, I realized how freaking fantastic the song "Work It" was all over again. It's raunchy, hilarious, and my favorite song to dance to in the car at the moment.
