How To Style: Plain Black Sweater

I think it's really great to have a few statements pieces in your wardrobe that you can pair with various other (maybe trendier or bolder) pieces that can spice it up. For me, some of these pieces include a plain white v-neck, a chambray top, and a plain black sweater. Given the impending winter season, a plain black sweater is the most seasonally appropriate choice to style for three different occasions.

Like many other girls, black is one of my favorite colors to wear because it goes with almost everything and it's just easy. There's something about black clothing, whether it's tops, bottoms, dresses, accessories, that makes it impossible to stop buying and wearing. I even embrace the all black everything look #Monochromatic (Am I trendy yet?)

I'm going to style this black sweater from H&M a few different to show how versatile one piece of clothing can be in your wardrobe. This is just for reference, of course. Any black sweater from any store will do (my two favorites are from Urban Outfitters and one I recently stole from my brother's closet).
