Chummy in Cleveland

My bestest chummy Emma was a darling and visited me in Cleveland this weekend. She got here yesterday night, but since we're super cool, we got food, ate it on the floor of my room, and proceeded to do homework. This morning, we woke up bright and early, did some more work, and headed to the dining hall so we could use the waffle maker. The weather was a bit overcast and windy, but we decided to drive around the Cleveland Heights neighborhood and hit up Coventry.

*For those not familiar with Cleveland, Coventry Village is sort of a hippie/hipster neighborhood. A lot of coffee shops, book shops, and there's an American Apparel. Need I say more?*

We didn't stay in Coventry for very long because, well, it was windy and it's sort of small. BUT we did go into a consignment shop and I ended up scoring a Diane von Furstenberg shift dress for only $27. It needs minor adjustments in the sleeves, but I figured for $27, it was worth it anyways.

The next stop on our shopping adventure was Legacy Village.

*For those not familiar with Cleveland, Legacy Village is an upscale outdoor shopping center. There's a Cheesecake Factory, a Lilly Pulitzer, and Nordstrom Rack. There's also really annoying street parking*

We parked at Nordstrom Rack, as to avoid having to park at a meter. Then we walked around and popped into stores here and there. Of course, I had to stop into the Lilly Pulitzer store, despite not being able to afford anything.

We took a quick pit stop to take some photos of the fountain and Emma, the sweetheart that she is, offered to take some photos of me for a proper outfit of the day that it's just a mirror selfie of myself.

When we were walking away from the fountain, we passed a massive display of flowers and Emma stopped and said, "Do you want me to take a picture of you in front of those flowers?" If these aren't the most uncomfortable and staged pictures ever, I don't know is. But, they're funny and the flowers are pretty.

A SUPER cute selfie in a tiny mirror at Charming Charlie's. That store is an organizational freaks DREAM. Everything organized by color? Yes please!

My bestest chummy Emma and I in a slightly larger mirror in Charming Charlie's. Her boots are Hunter boots and her jacket is from Express.

Our last stop on our shopping extravaganza was Beachwood Place.

*For those not familiar with Cleveland, Beachwood Place is an upscale shopping mall that makes you feel really bad about yourself and the lack of money that you have. But, they have a Chick-Fil-A, so...*

Our first stop was the food court because both of us were hungry from walking around Legacy and only having a stinking waffle for breakfast. Naturally, we beelined for Chick-Fil-A because there isn't one back at home! There's nothing worse than shopping on an empty stomach.

I'm not sure how many times we circled the mall or the amount of stores that I made Emma stop into, but I ended up scoring some deals and making up for my week from hell.

Nordstrom selfies in the BP section...

...and some car selfies for good measure.

We headed back downtown to chill at my dorm for a little bit, then hit into the heart of downtown for a late dinner at the Harry Buffalo. Then we walked around for a bit and got cupcakes, which we are entirely too full to eat.

EMMA, PLEASE MOVE TO CLEVELAND SO WE CAN DO THIS ALL OF THE TIME.
