1. Tinted moisturizer
It combines two steps (moisturizer + foundation) and is just generally easier to blend out than a full-coverage foundation.
2. Concealer
If you have any dark circles or trouble spots that the tinted moisturizer couldn't cover, dab on some concealer. Step is optional if you are the luckiest person alive and have clear skin and no dark circles.
3. Powder
Again, optional if you don't have oily skin, but I find that tinted moisturizers generally give you a dewy finish. Plus, they'll last longer if you dab some powder onto your T-zone.
4. Tinted eyebrow gel
I don't have time to fill-in my eyebrows on a day where I'm feeling rushed, but I need to do something to them or else it will drive me crazy throughout the day. Anastasia's tinted brow gel takes less than twenty seconds to apply and lasts all day. (Other options: Benefit)
5. Painterly Paintpot (or any other nude base)
I use MAC's Painterly Paintpot, but there are so many other options out on the market for a nude base. I like to cover the veins on my eyes and I just find that my makeup looks a hell of a lot better when I've got at least something on my lids.
6. Mascara
If I'm wearing glasses, I'll skip this step. If I'm wearing my contacts, however, mascara is an step that cannot be skipped for me. It makes you look so much more awake and put together. Plus, it shouldn't take any longer than a few seconds to swipe some coats on each eye.
7. Pink cheek
A pink cheek can go a long way. I like using Tarte's Dollface to brighten up my face and give me a little life. It is universally flattering, super pigmented, long-lasting, and goes with everything.
8. Highlighter
This could be optional depending on the season, but highlighting your cheekbones and the high points of your face (forehead, bridge of your nose, chin, and cupid's bow) can really make you look more awake and lively, especially paired with a pink cheek.
What is one step that you cannot skip when you're running late in the morning?
