So, me being the forgetful and last minute packer that I am deep, deep down, I forgot my nice camera at school in my mad dash to get the hell out of the dorm and make it back home to make it to my concert on time (I was late). I am relying on my iPhone pictures and Instagram to make this post possible, so my apologies for the lack of quality with these photos.
Disclaimer aside, I've been super digging the chambray shirts and have finally started to get some wear out of mine. I bought it over the summer for the sole purpose of a light jacket of sorts for when I went to the beach for vacation. As it turns out, they are incredibly convenient for my lazy days when all I want to do is wear leggings and a chunky infinity scarf. It also turns out to be nice for the days when I just want to add a little casual elegance (oxymorons, for the win). Okay, maybe those were the wrong words, but I feel like the casual fabric with the collar can just add so much to a sweater or even, GASP, a skirt.
This first outfit exhibits my use of it on a lazy morning. I had an 8 AM class, but I have this thing where I refuse to wear a hoodie and sweatpants to class, no matter how cold it is outside. I believe it was close to freezing but you bet your bottom dollar that I strutted to the library in this.

Shirt: Target
Scarf: Target
Leggings: Underarmour
Boots: JcPenney
Hair: I got it from my Momma
This next outfit is my way of spicing up a boring old gray sweater that I may or may not have stolen from my mom's closet because it is so flipping comfortable. Throw it on over a chambray shirt and you've got an outfit (well, and pants, but you catch my drift).
Shirt: Targe
Sweater: Gap
Pants: American Eagle
Boots: Ralph Lauren
Necklace: Kate Spade
Lipstick: Alabama by NYX
Last but not least, I have the more dressy option. I wore my trusty chambray shirt with one of my early Christmas gifts to Christmas Eve and I thought it looked really nice. The contrast between the casualness of the top and the sophistication of the paperbag skirt paired well together.

These are my three favorite ways to wear my chambray top during the cooler winter months. I especially think that statement necklaces look particularly great with collared shirts, and the chambray top is no exception.
What's your favorite way to wear a Chambray shirt or where have you gotten your favorite? I'm always looking for more (clearly, because I wear the hell out of my Target one).
