I've finally finished up a few products so I figured I'd talk about each a little bit. This is something I've seen on Youtube and even in blogs as well.
I've finished about two or three bottles of this. I featured this in my top 12 products of 2012. The Suave dry shampoo is the only kind that works for me.
As for face products, I finished my Physician's formula tube concealer and their mineral powder. I finished by L'oreal true match foundation. My mom bought a small tub of Philosophy's hope in a jar for herself but stopped using it once it got too cold because it wasn't heavy enough. I gladly finished it off for her.
I've had all of these mascaras for too long, so they're not really "empty" but they're old and smelly and some are just dried out. Starting from top to bottom: Maybelline falsies, L'Oreal voluminous millions lashes, Maybelline one by one, L'Oreal double extender or something, Rimmel sexy curves and Covergirl luxe. I also finished a sample size of Urban Decay's primer potion.
As for repurchasing, I obviously have and will repurchase the Suave Dry Shampoo until the day I don't have hair anymore or they discontinue it. I love the Physician's formula concealer. I'm actually getting more of it today. The powder is nice but I wouldn't say it was my favorite. I still have to use a mattifying powder over top to keep myself from getting oily. The L'Oreal foundation was nice, but was too dark when I was finishing it. I might pick it up in a lighter color at some point. It has good coverage, especially on the days I was a little more red. I'm not really a moisturizer person, but Hope in a Jar was a little disappointing. I don't think it really did anything for my skin, though I have noticed that this year my skin is drier than it has been in the past.
The mascaras were all decent, except for the Falsies and the Luxe mascara. Falsies clumped horribly with my lashes and I hate waterproof mascara. The Luxe mascara I didn't like because I bought it in green by accident and it hardly showed on my lashes. I loved my purple bottle of Sexy Curves but I can't find it anymore. Unfortunately, I fell in love with Benefit's They're Real mascara so I get to dish out a ton of money any time I want to use a new mascara. It's a price I'm willing to pay though. It makes my lashes look incredible.
Does anyone else have issues finishing products like I do? I get sad when ones I really like are at the end. I hit pan on my favorite Tarte blush and I almost cried. :)

How does the dry shampoo work? I've heard of it but never tried myself. I might have some by Garnier in my bathroom right now. Does it make hair greasy/oily/stiff? Do you use it instead of shampooing in the shower?
ReplyDeleteI am super jealous of your makeup collection/skills and if I were experienced or anything of the sort, my main focus probz wouldn't be on nails~
I do have a problem with finishing things. Like that tin of cookies and cream penguins you got me. I almost cried. I still kept the tin because it was adorable, I have a bowl that matches the one on the tin (Target, right? ;D), and so I can weep over the memory of them. I mainly relate that question to this because, um, I have yet to finish a bottle of nail polish and I'm scared for when that time comes.
I've tried a couple of kinds of dry shampoo and this suave one is the best because it smells awesome and doesn't leave super white residue. Basically, if your hair is looking a little greasy near the roots or flat, you spray a little, let it sit for a minute and either rub it with your fingers or brush it out until you like the look. If you get one for oily hair it soaks up the oils. No, you still shampoo in the shower like usual. It's either for second day hair or maybe if it's later in the night and your hair is a little too shiny for your liking.
DeleteMy makeup collection is more like makeup hoarding. I've been getting better with being smart with my money though, which is nice. I have a lot of makeup that I need to learn how to use before I invest in any more.
Finishing things makes me upset. Especially if it's limited edition like my MAC Lightscapade MSF because that shit is my absolute favorite and when I finish it I might shed a tear. No joke.
