Full disclosure: my mother picked up this shirt. She thought it was funny and we (read: I) was desperate for t-shirts for this trip. There was something so retro about this tee that hooked me. Or perhaps it was the under $15 price tag. It was most likely the latter, but y'all know I'm a sucker for a bargain. Forever21 is hell on earth, but sometimes it comes in clutch, like shopping ten minutes before close because you realized you didn't have t-shirts approximately six or seven hours before you had to leave for the airport to go to California.
My friend paid $16 to park to get these pictures because we didn't realize there were cheaper lots so like, TELL ME YOU LOVE THESE PHOTOS. I'm absolutely joking. I had to go to the lights, I had to. I was forced by my heart and soul. How could I go to Los Angeles and not see these fucking lights? I've seen them on every damn blogger's Instagram feed for the past five years and I'll be damned if I don't have a photo of my own to add to the over saturation of the Urban Light sculpture.
I debated uploading the rest of my photos from this day in this post, but you know what, this is my blog and I do what I want! I'm going to do an outtakes post of this day coming this week or next. Sometimes I just feel like keeping it casual around here. I'm very much enjoying talking about my random travels. I know it's not the most inspirational or helpful content, but it's making my heart happy so...I'm going to keep doing it!

This picture truly just sums up my California experience. I am writing this at LAX airport, hoping and praying that my 45 minute wifi session doesn't run out so I can queue this to post while I take my overnight flight to JFK. I'm going to really have to sit down and reflect on this trip at some point this week, but right now, I'll admit, I'm a little bit (read: a lot) emotional about saying
Haha Yay on getting a picture at the Urban Lights exhibit - I totally feel ya! I would do the same because every blogger and their mother has photos there!
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage-style look you're wearing here. Forever 21 always has a couple of gems in their collections!

Thanks Chloe! It wasn't too too crowded when I went, but it was totally worth the expensive parking (same thing with the La Brea Tarpits...I totes geeked out).
